While addressing a meeting of federation discs in Peshawar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today rebuked Pakistan regarding claims of Indian sponsored terrorism in Balochistan. He stated that Pakistan is blaming India because they cannot handle the situation of Balochistan.
“Pakistan blames India for Balochistan because they can’t handle it…Somebody needs to be blamed for the situation and it is very convenient for them to point finger at others. They should look for a solution,\” he said in an intereview with Rahul Joshi Network18 Group Editor-in-Cheif at Rising Bharat Summit in New Delhi.
“After a series of attacks on its soil, including the train hijack in Balochistan region, Pakistan claimed that it is India which is fanning terrorism in the country and destabilising the region.”
“Their demand for ethnically defined independent state is not valid, has no boundaries, they do not cross, we do not intervene,” argued Union Minister talking about Balochistan Having a claim to free state borders. “The question of whether India supports Balochistan or not (for an independent state) does not arise at all,” he added.
As Amit Shah noted, some regions of Pakistan do have grievances with the current regime but for now, India is not in a position to address them.
He also, during the summit poK is part or rather ‘belongs’ to India and that there exists a sturdy legal standing. “It is not merely our claim, but rather strongest belief that PoK belongs to us and there is historical document suggesting the same. In fact, we do have rather strong legal case that PoK is ours. India’s stand has been clear for years now,” said the union minister.
