Peshawar: At least three terrorists have been killed in two separate incidents in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the army’s media wing said. Two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Bara area of Khyber district, a statement said.
What did the army say?
In another incident, security forces in the South Waziristan district observed the movement of terrorist groups trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the statement said. “Our troops effectively foiled their infiltration attempt and one terrorist was killed during the operation,” it said. Three terrorists were injured in the incident, the statement said.
Action against terrorists
Let us tell you that, to crack down on terrorism, Pakistan has decided to launch a massive operation against terrorists in the southwestern province of Balochistan. A statement said that the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan working under the government approved a massive military operation on Tuesday. The decision to launch the military operation was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, which was attended by senior civilian and military officials including Army Chief General Asim Munir.
Terrorist organizations will be the target.
The operation will target major terrorist organizations operating in Balochistan including Majeed Brigade, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), and Balochistan Raji Anju-r-Senghar (BRAS), which target innocent civilians and foreign nationals at the behest of external powers to disrupt the economic progress of Pakistan.
