Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Sitaare Zameen Par, featuring Bollywood legend Aamir Khan, is set to hit theaters on June 20. During its first screening period, the film will not debut on any OTT platforms. This will be the first film Khan will feature in after three years into a hiatus.

India Today spoke to Aamir and he told them Amitabh Bachchan was instrumental in renewing his faith regarding traditional cinema distribution. Aamir raised a concern on the length of time between the cinema premiere and the ott release, regarding it as absurd.
“I do not have issues with streaming sites, but that shift of logic from theaters to digital made no sense to me,” said Aamir. He even further explained that Amitabh Bachchan reminding me of my past as a daredevil made me decide to stop thinking and follow through with it.
On A Belief in Cinema And The Audience
Aamir regards themself as a “loyalist of cinema.” That is the self-explanatory reason for them to accept multiple digital offers, just for the sake of protecting the theater-first deal. The risks involved financially were acknowledged, but so was the fact that the essence of storytelling and the movie-going public is to trust.
He shared that his colleagues had warned him not to take the step, but his interaction with Bachchan gave him the conviction to go ahead.
About Sitaare Zameen Par – Cast, Story and Director
Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, is an unofficial reboot to Taare Zameen Par (2007). The new narrative centers on Aamir’s character who is a coach for a basketball team and also a caregiver for the special needs school children.
The storyline is inspired by the Spanish film Campeones and comes with an emotionally driven sports story.
