Suspense crime, Digital Desk : For fans who have spent three decades quoting its iconic dialogues, there is finally a ray of hope. Aamir Khan has confirmed that a sequel to the beloved 1994 cult classic, Andaz Apna Apna, is officially in the works, though it remains in its earliest stages.

Speaking at a recent media event, the superstar revealed that the original film's director, Rajkumar Santoshi, is actively developing a script for the long-awaited follow-up. While stirring excitement among fans, Khan was quick to manage expectations, clarifying the project's current status.

"Rajkumar Santoshi is working on a script. I haven't heard it yet, so it's in a very nascent stage," Aamir said, adding that he is eager to hear the story. "I hope he writes a good script because 'Andaz Apna Apna' is a film that is very close to people's hearts."

The original film, which also starred Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor, was a box office disappointment upon its release but has since achieved legendary status. Its quirky humor, unforgettable characters like Amar, Prem, Teja, and Crime Master Gogo, and endlessly quotable lines have made it one of Hindi cinema's most cherished comedies.

Aamir acknowledged the immense pressure of creating a sequel that could live up to the original's legacy. However, his confirmation that a script is being written is the most concrete news fans have received in years, igniting fresh anticipation for the potential reunion of Amar and Prem on the big screen.
