Pakistan Mpox Case: The first case of Mpox has been reported in Pakistan this year. The virus has been confirmed in a person who recently returned from Saudi Arabia. ARY News has given this information quoting the Ministry of Health. A man from Mardan arrived in Pakistan on August 3. Shortly after reaching Peshawar, he started showing symptoms and went to the hospital for examination. According to ARY News, Khyber Medical University in Peshawar has confirmed the disease.
Health officials took precautionary measures
Panic erupted after a man returning from Saudi Arabia was found to be infected with the Ampox virus. Health officials have launched tracing efforts to identify and monitor individuals who came in close contact with the infected man, including fellow passengers on his flight from Saudi Arabia.
