The renowned author of the Harry Potter books, J.K. Rowling, is currently making headlines because of her recent social media post. Fans believe she took an indirect dig at Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. When asked about actors who ruined a film for her and had to give ‘three guesses’, she claimed, “Sorry, but that was impossible to resist.” She concluded her comment with three ‘laughing uncontrollably’ emojis.

Rowling appears to be mocking Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint. Her comment did not go down too well with Harry Potter fans. While she faced a lot of criticism, some praised her for opting not to call people out.

The internet's interpretation of JK Rowling's post

A user in the comment section mentioned “The ones who made you rich. That was their only mistake.” Again, another user submitted a “Disappointed” comment. Someone went ahead to post, “My god you're pathetic. While another remarked, “They ruined the movies for you, but you ruined everything else for everyone else, at least for those with beating hearts.”

The author of Harry Potter received a lot of hate but she has a few defenders. She or he went on to say, “Three guesses? 1. The same ones who profited millions off you then turned on you when it was ‘cool’.” Another one who seems to disapprove the feud between JK Rowling with the Harry Potter trio said: “The sad thing is at least two out of the three would never been more than character actors. You gave the throne they use to look down to you. What will they do as the ‘trans 15 minutes’ wind down? (sic)”

What was the issue between JK Rowling and the stars of Harry Potter.
Everything started to spiral between Rowling and the stars from Harry Potter after the author's transphobic comments gained medial attention. *JK Rowling’s treatments regarding the trans community was not supported by the actors who as children gained fame from the Harry Potter movies.*

*In the year 2020, JK Rowling did not think through a few of her comments on the transgender topics. This led to her receiving an avalanche of disapproval.*

*Later on, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, wrote an open letter addressed to The Trevor Project to apologize for the pain caused by Rowling's comments and made it clear that he has no obligation towards her, for casting him in a film based on her books.*

Emma Watson posted on X to express her support for the trans community. She stated, “Trans people are who they say they are, and they have the right to exist without being incessantly challenged or denied their identity. Every single one of my trans followers, and there are many, I want to let you know that you are respected and loved for who you are”.

In another statement, Rupert Grint said, “I support the trans community and many of my peers support the views of the trans community. Trans women are women. Trans men are men.”

Last year, JK Rowling stated that ‘the actors can save their apologies’ with regards to the endless apologies issues by the actors while firmly standing on her position on the trans rights.
