Giving this information, a media report said that this is a pioneering 10-year initiative, which will protect World Bank-financed projects from political changes and will focus on six targeted areas.

The Express Tribune newspaper quoted official documents as saying that the programme, titled 'Pakistan Country Partnership Framework 2025-35', aims to improve social indicators in the most neglected but important areas. The 'Country Partnership Framework' is to be approved by the World Bank Board on January 14, after which the global lender's South Asia Vice President Martin Reiser is also expected to visit Islamabad.
