A vast number of devotees assembled at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Magh Purnima for a sacred bath. Alongside them, Kalpvasis also participated in the ritual and concluded their fasting. Following the Amrit Bath on Mauni Amavasya, Naga Sadhus have now departed for their respective destinations. With this, the Maha Kumbh is steadily approaching its conclusion.

As per official reports, by 8 PM on Magh Purnima, approximately 2.04 crore devotees took the holy dip. The cumulative count of devotees who have bathed in the Maha Kumbh has reached 48.29 crore as of February 12, 2025. Given this, many are now wondering—when will the Maha Kumbh 2025 conclude?

Next Big Bath at Maha Kumbh 2025

The Maha Kumbh commenced on January 13 (Paush Purnima), marking the beginning of Kalpvas for thousands of Kalpvasis. Over 10 lakh Kalpvasis have performed Kalpvas during this grand spiritual event.

The next significant bathing event is scheduled on Mahashivratri, a highly revered festival in Hindu traditions. On this auspicious day, millions of devotees are expected to take a sacred dip in the holy waters.

When Will Maha Kumbh 2025 End?

The Maha Kumbh, which started on January 13, will conclude on February 26, 2025, coinciding with Mahashivratri. This day is of immense religious significance as it marks the divine wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to the Ishan Samhita, it is also the day when Lord Shiva manifested in a physical form from his formless state.

As a result, Shiva temples across the nation will witness a surge in devotees offering prayers and seeking blessings. At the same time, the banks of the Sangam will be flooded with pilgrims taking the final holy dip of Maha Kumbh 2025.

Auspicious Timing for Mahashivratri

Mahashivratri falls on February 26, 2025, with the Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha (Falgun month) beginning at 11:08 AM and concluding the next day at 8:54 AM.

Since Lord Shiva is traditionally worshipped during Pradosh Kaal, performing four-night prahar pujas on February 26 evening is considered highly auspicious. Devotees believe that offering prayers to Bholenath (Lord Shiva) at this time brings divine blessings and fulfills wishes.
