A tragic incident occurred in Bhilwara district, Rajasthan, on February 13, 2026, where four people—including a woman died after accidentally consuming dishwashing liquid, which they reportedly mistook for liquor.
The incident took place in Aloli village, under the jurisdiction of the Gangapur police station.
The Sequence of Events
The Background: The victims had recently worked as contractors for washing dishes at a wedding ceremony three days prior. After the event, they brought back a bottle of industrial-grade liquid dish soap to their home.
The Confusion: On Thursday night, believing the liquid to be alcohol, the group consumed it. Shortly after, their health began to deteriorate rapidly.
Fatal Consequences: Three individuals were rushed to the Gangapur Hospital but were declared dead during treatment. A fourth person, a woman, was referred to the Bhilwara District Hospital in critical condition, where she also passed away.
