Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Haridwar, India – In a deeply personal and emotional ceremony, actor Anil Kapoor and his elder brother, producer Boney Kapoor, traveled to the holy city of Haridwar to immerse the ashes of their late mother, Nirmal Kapoor, in the sacred Ganga river.
Boney Kapoor took to social media to share poignant pictures from the somber occasion, accompanied by a heartfelt tribute that has touched the hearts of many. The photos show the brothers on a boat, performing the final rites with a priest, their faces reflecting the solemnity of the moment.
In his touching note, Boney Kapoor expressed his grief and found solace in the belief that his mother was reuniting with loved ones who had passed before her. "You are now in a better place in the company of your husband, your favourite son Surinder, and your favourite daughter-in-law Sri," he wrote, referring to their father Surinder Kapoor, their late brother, and Boney's late wife, the legendary actress Sridevi.
He remembered his mother as the "best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother," a matriarch who was the pillar of their illustrious family.
The immersion of ashes in the Ganga is a sacred and significant ritual in Hindu tradition, believed to grant moksha (liberation) to the departed soul. For the Kapoor brothers, this pilgrimage to Haridwar was the fulfillment of a final, sacred duty to their mother.
The shared moments offered a rare glimpse into the personal lives of the celebrated family, reminding everyone of the universal emotions of love, loss, and the enduring bonds of family.
