These upcoming features, spotted in the early stages of development by the reliable WhatsApp-tracking site WABetaInfo, are powered by Meta AI and aim to make communication faster and more precise.

Catch Up in Seconds

For users overwhelmed by non-stop notifications, the chat summarization tool will be a game-changer. When you open a chat with a large number of unread messages, a button will reportedly appear. Tapping it will prompt the AI to generate a concise summary of the conversation, letting you know the key points without having to scroll through everything. This will allow you to quickly understand what you missed and jump back into the conversation.

Write the Perfect Message, Every Time

The second tool is an AI-powered text editor. Have you ever typed a message and worried it didn't sound professional enough, or maybe it was too formal for a casual chat? This feature will help. After typing your message, you can long-press the text to reveal an "AI" option. From there, you can ask the AI to fix grammar and spelling mistakes or completely change the tone to be more formal or professional.

Don't rush to your app to find these features just yet. As they were discovered in an unreleased beta version, it’s clear they are still in the testing phase. There is no official timeline for when they will be rolled out to the public.
