The blistering heat at the start of April has had a significant impact on daily life. Walking outside has become nearly impossible and as to avoid the scorching sun and rising temperature, people have to remain cocooned in their homes. There was some relief for a few days when storms and light showers lashed the North of India, bringing down temperatures, but this was only for a while. Once the western disturbances receded, the heat returned.
There has also been a surge in temperatures in NCR and Delhi which has increased by two to four degrees celsius.
A clear sun coupled with blazing temperatures have returned once again resulting in difficulty for regions on the southern tip of the country. Skies appear clear with no clouds on the horizon for the time being and in the coming days, further increase in temperature is expected.
This region has some comfort to Eastern India as well where temperatures have seen a dip.
Meridian has shifted towards East adding comfort to the people of Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Northern Madhya Pradesh where however earlier marked temperature is now recording a drop will feel a difference of 2-4 degrees celsius warmth which will definitely feel much more soothing.
The country wide temperatures are not consistent.
Changes in the weather patterns have altered the maximum temperature range across the Country. Jammu, Gujarat, Himachal, and several other states have shown a consistent rise in temperature. Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and the Northern regions are experiencing a regressive shift in temperature. No remarkable change has been noted in rest parts of the country.
Decreased temperature because of light showers
Precipitation continues in the east side of the country as expected. In spite of the clouds forming over Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, chances of rain are scarce. The West Bengal and Odisha mountainous regions, along with parts of Northeastern India such as Assam and Meghalaya, have a higher chance of showers. A few districts in the Eastern Uttar region are expecting mild showers that could lead to a slight increase in temperature.
Warning of heat waves in states like Delhi
The skies over Delhi are speculating about warm winds and a few clouds, but they aren’t comforting as the afternoon sun is set to increase temperatures till it becomes unbearable. Chandigarh along with its bordering states of Punjab and Haryana have been warned by the meteorological department of a heat wave in the next two to three days. It is quite likely in these regions that the sultry weather will becomes unbearable worsens people’s problems. It is better to seek cooling where possible and consume more fluids for safety.
South India rained out
Some rains are welcome respite from the heat blaring in the Southern states of India. Pre monsoon showers have reached Kerala and that should improve the conditions there. The drizzle has also covered the coastal areas around Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Telangana, as well as the interior of Karnataka. People living in the Konkan region however, have a problem with the sticky sultry weather. There is a heat wave alert at the moment for Kutch in Gujarat and Pune in Maharashtra.
