Washington: The US has taken major action against Israel regarding the massacre committed by Hamas on 7 October. In this case, the US Justice Department has framed criminal charges against Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and other terrorists in the case of the attack on 7 October 2023 in Israel. Let us tell you that Sinwar has been made the Hamas chief after the assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh alias Ismail Haniyeh. Earlier, Sinwar used to be the second top leader of Hamas.
Nearly 1,200 people were killed in the October 7 attack on Israel and the terrorists took about 250 people hostage. Now the criminal complaint filed in a federal court in New York in this case includes charges of conspiring to assist a foreign terrorist organization. Attorney General Merrick Garland released a video and said, “The charges revealed today are just a part of our effort to target Hamas’ activities. These will not be our last actions.”
Yahya Sinwar has been in the tunnel for 10 months
Sinwar was appointed head of Hamas after the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran. He is believed to have spent much of the past 10 months in Gaza, in tunnels, and it is unclear whether he has any contact with the outside world. The others accused include Haniya, Marwan Issa, deputy leader of Hamas’ armed wing in Gaza, Khaled Mashaal, Mohammed al-Masri, and Ali Baraka.
