U.S. Warns of Potential Eid al-Fitr Attacks in Syria Amid Escalating Security Concerns:

The violence surrounding civil wars and terrorism associated with it cannot be eradicated from the face of the world. The U.S. recently warned that attacks targeting the US would greatly increase over the expected Eid el-Fitr holiday; correlating with the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Eid holidays could confirm to begin in Syria as early as Sunday with the new moon sighting.

Syrian authorities also added that several militant cells suspected of carrying out attacks within Syria were detained this past month.

Due to the rampant insecurity, escalating insurgent activity has been noted under Islamist military groups such as Hayat Tahrir al Sham al Sham or dominant leader Idlib, along with some skin taking over.

The Islamic state has confirmed the existence of sleeper cells left behind after being curbed in Syria back in 2019. Most of the cells operate from the Northeastern part of the state where Kurdish militants in association with America have taken over.
