Tragic road accident in Mirzapur, the collision was so terrifying, the truck’s tyre jumped and fell into the drain, 10 people died

A tragic accident took place in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh late Thursday night due to a collision between a truck and a tractor-trolley. 10 people died and three people were seriously injured in this accident. Mirzapur SP Abhinandan said that the accident took place on GT Road between Kachhwa and Mirzamurad on the Mirzapur-Varanasi border at around 1 o’clock late at night. The SP said, “There were 13 laborers in the tractor-trolley who were returning after doing construction work in Bhadohi district, when a truck hit their vehicle from behind, due to which the driver lost control.” On receiving the information, SP Abhinandan and other officers immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue work.

The workers were returning home to meet their loved ones.

The accident happened around 1 a.m. on Kachhwa Mirzamurad GT Road in the Kachhwa police station area. It is being told that 13 people were traveling on a tractor from the Bhadohi district towards Varanasi. On Kachhwa Mirzamurad GT Road of Kachhwa police station area, a speeding uncontrolled truck hit the tractor trolley from behind. Out of the 13 people traveling on the tractor, 10 people died on the spot and 3 people were injured. The collision was so strong that the tire of the truck came out and fell into a drain far away. As soon as the information was received, the police of the local police station reached the spot and while carrying out rescue work, the injured were sent to Trauma Center Varanasi for treatment.

All the people riding the tractor were laborers who were going to their homes in Mirzamurad Varanasi after doing roof-casting work in the Bhadohi district.

The SP said that the bodies have been taken into custody and sent to the mortuary and the injured were immediately sent to the Trauma Center (Kashi Hindu University) Varanasi, where their condition is said to be normal. In this regard, a case has been registered in Kachhwa police station and legal action is being taken. He said that the officers are conducting a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident.
