Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a public meeting in Mendhar, Jammu and Kashmir today, fiercely targeted the opposition and said, “This election is going to end the rule of three families and these three families are – Abdullah family, Mufti family and Nehru-Gandhi family. These three families had stopped democracy here. If Modi ji’s government had not come in 2014, then Panchayat, Block, District elections would not have taken place.”
Bullets will be answered with shells.
After this, Amit Shah also held these three families responsible for the terrorism spread in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “In the 90s, terrorism came to Jammu and Kashmir with the blessings of Farooq. In the 90s, there was a lot of firing here, because the masters here were afraid of Pakistan. But now Pakistan is afraid of Narendra Modi. They do not dare to open fire. If firing is done, the bullet will be answered with a shell. Today, the BJP government led by Narendra Modi has ended terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir and has given laptops to the youth here instead of stones. There was a time when the dreams of the youth were trampled and today is the time when due to the policies of the Modi government, the Amrit generation is not only increasing the name of the country in the world but is also making an important contribution in the creation of a ‘developed India’.”
Amit Shah spoke on the issue of reservation.
On the issue of giving reservations to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah said, “After Modi came to power, OBCs, backward classes, Gujjars, Bakarwals and Paharis got a reservation. When I presented the bill, Farooq Abdullah’s party opposed it and started instigating the Gujjar brothers here. When I came to Rajouri, I had promised that we would not reduce the reservation of the Gujjar brothers. These people (Congress and National Conference) have said that we will end the reservation, while we (BJP) are saying that we will give reservation to Gujjars, Bakarwals and Paharis even in promotions.”
Shah will also campaign in these places.
After Mendhar, Amit Shah will also address workers in Poonch, Thanamandi, Rajouri, and Akhnoor. This is Shah’s second visit in 5 days. Earlier on September 16, he had addressed public meetings in Paddar Nagseni, Kishtwar, and Ramban.
