On April 17, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy M56 5G in India as the sleekest smartphone in its category with thinnest body. It is likely to succeed the Galaxy M55 which was released in February this year, The M56 will have significant design and performance upgrades to make it even more attractive in the competitive mid-range segment.
1. Ultra-Slim Design
At only 7.2 mm thick, the Galaxy M56 will be 0.6 mm thinner than its predecessor, the M55.
This marks the slimmest Galaxy M smartphone ever, and remains the Galaxy M smartphone with the best ergonomics.
2. Gorilla Glass Victus Protection
Both sides of the M56 will include Gorilla Glass Victus and unlike the M55, which had a plastic back.
This enhances the durability whilst making the phone appear classy.
3. Premium Glass and Metal Build
The M56 gets a premium feel as it replaces the polycarbonate frame with a glass back and metal trim for the cameras.
4. Brightest Super AMOLED+ Display in the Series
Samsung promises the M56 will have the brightest Super AMOLED Plus display in the Galaxy M series.
We expect the device to outperform the M55 in HDR and be even more visible in direct sunlight.
5. Upgraded Nightography Camera Tech
The M56 will get Samsung’s Nightography enhancements with the 50 MP main sensor with OIS.
Expected to provide photos in dim lighting better than the default night mode of the M55.
6. New 12MP HDR Selfie Camera
The M56 may change to a 12MP selfie with HDR replacing the 50MP fixed-focus sensor of the M55.
Delivers more consistent and dynamic selfies in more diverse lighting conditions.
7. 4K Video with 10-bit HDR
4K video recording at 30 fps has also been upgraded on the M56 with 10-bit HDR for the boost.
This benefits creators greatly as they gain access to richer colors and more detailed pictures.

Samsung incorporates AI editing of videos and photos for the M56.
This feature enables users to improve media files directly without the need of external applications.
