On Saturday, Ukraine accused Russia of hitting the warehouse of an Indian pharmaceutical company, Kusum, with a missile strike. In a post on microblogging site X, the Russian embassy noted that while claiming ‘special friendship’ with India, Moscow intentionally targets Indian firms by destroying medicine meant for the children and the elderly.

“Today, a Russian missile struck the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine. While claiming 'specially friendship with India’ Moscow deliberately targets Indian businesses — destroying medicines meant for children and the elderly,” the Ukrainian Embassy in India posted on X.

The claim is so far one has only heard of something being termed as an injury from Indian businesses operating in Ukraine.

Harris has stated that this morning, Russian drones completely destroyed a major pharmaceuticals warehouse in Kyiv, claiming stocks of medicine essential for the elderly and children were incinerated. He further added this as still continues Russia's campaign of terror against the Ukrainian civilians which is relentless.

As stated in the site, Kusum is an association of international pharmaceutical companies. The association has four up-to-date production plants. These include three located in India and the fourth in Ukraine.
