Rajinikanth’s Coolie to Feature Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, and More in Star-Studded Lineup:

The film "Coolie" starring the phenomenal Rajinikanth is already the talk of the town even before its release. The movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and has an all-star lineup, featuring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, along with many others.

To make things better, A-lister Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been confirmed as an addition to the cast by Kannada actor Upendra. This would be Aamir’s first South Indian film.

Amit Khan Will Act in Coolie, Confirms Upendra

While comfirming the news, Upendra said “It is really crazy that Aamir Khan will act in the South Weed film Coolie” while he was in Hyderabad for the teaser unveiling of his new movie 45. Controversially, the hype builder said, “Yes, he (Amit Khan) is there in few scene with me, so people will see we share the screen.”

“Those scenes where we will all share the screen are amazing. It is wonderful working with Rajnikanth sir, Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna” said Upendra.

Aamir Khan Aims Towards The South Indian Sector

After the disapointing returns from Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan seems to have taken a step back from his projects. His participation in the movie Coolie seems to be a strategic move to re-capture the attention of the audience for a script with nationwide relevance. His involvement in the film is anticipated to enhance its reception in the northern regions of India.

Aside from the remarkable cast, Coolie is also starring Pooja Hegde in an attention grabbing dance sequence. Upendra, riding high on the buzz around his sci-fi project UI and his upcoming films 45 and Budhhivantha 2, expressed pride for being part of Coolie.

Fighting in the Box Office: Coolie at War 2

Both films are slated to be blockbusters in dependant regions. Under this context, the film will face direct competition from War 2 which features Hrithik Roshan alongside Jr NTR, who are both expected to be heavy draws from viewers.

Separately, the first direction by Lokesh Kanagaraj after the film Leo with Thalapathy Vijay will begin on Kaithi 2 starring Karthi, known for Father Karhi. In parallel, under new expectations for another blockbuster streak, Rajinikanth started work on Jailer 2.
