Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Puri Jagannadh, who is well-known for the success of his films Pokiri, Temper and Desamuduru, is about to embark on a new journey with Beggar, featuring Bollywood heavy-weight Vijay Sethupathi. This movie is a surprising departure from Puri’s traditional commercial cinematic style to a more emotional, script oriented narrative.

First Tamil Project and Aimed Comeback
This will be Puri’s first attempt at Tamil cinema. It comes after a debacle phase in his career post the critical and commercial failures of Liger and Double iSmart. Reportedly, Puri is now concentrating on originality and emotional elements in this bilingual (Tamil-Telugu) film.

Vijay Sethupathi Takes on a New Avatar
After his role in Maharaja, Vijay Sethupathi is also expected to go through a complete makeover for his role in Beggar. The audience will be treated to a completely different character as he changes his hair, gait, and mannerisms.

Efficient Production Timeline
Puri Jagannadh has set a target of 65 days to complete filming for Beggar, a time frame he has proven capable of meeting. With Businessman being completed in 72 days which is a record short time for a film of such magnitude, and becoming a success at the box office.

Hoping for Redemption

With Beggar, Puri Jagannadh attempts to address all of his critics and redeem himself in the eyes of the film industry. The project, supported by a strong core and deep emotional plot, has already received attention as one of the most anticipated regional and pan-Indian releases.
