Oppo is expected to launch the F29 series which is a successor to the previous year’s F27 series in India and other markets soon. The device was recently found with the model number CPH2705 on the Indian Standards Bureau (BIS) and Bluetooth SIG certification sites. A new leak has revealed almost all the details of the smartphone. This time the Pro variant is coming back after its absence in the F27 series and is expected to be featured in latest lineup. Earlier tipster had skipped this model in the F27 lineup.
Oppo F29 Pro: Anticipated features and specifications
According to the X tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED curved display with enhanced Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. At the forefront, the display will include a fingerprint scanner. The F29 Pro 5G is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. In addition, it is expected to support LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of battery life, the anticipated F29 Pro is expected to come with a massive 6,000mAh unit with 80W charging capabilities. This represents a large leap from the F27 Pro Plus’ 5000mAh with 45W charging. Furthermore, the unit is expected to have out of the box ColorOS 15, built over Android 15, and for optics, the OPPO F29 Pro is claimed to feature a primary 50MP OIS main sensor with a 2MP secondary lens and 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Not so long ago, leaked specs of the F29 Pro also surfaced with some trackers noting them down as an Oppo A5 Pro 5G, which first debuted in December of 2024 in China. The 8GB + 256GB setup has a base price of CNY 1,999 ($23,300), which leads me to believe that the F29 Pro will be a rebranded Oppo A5 Pro on the international stage.
