Tracks of Namo Bharat Train: The Namo Bharat Train will go through a section Gurugram where it will pass under a storm drain in Badshahpur next to Hero Honda Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. The NCR Transport Corporation has received information regarding this storm drain from The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.

This rain drain is roughly 5 meters deep. This means that a tunnel for the Namo Bharat Train will have to be constructed around 7 meters deep. A GMDA worker stated that Badshahpur rain drain passes through the village of Ghata, sitting on the Gurugram-Faridabad road. This particular drain goes through the Golf Course Expansion and meets at Khandsa. From Khandsa, the rain’s runoff goes through a circuit in Basai, via Sectors 37 C and D. NCR Transport has been fully briefed on the drain’s details.

Reserve plots close to the green zone north east of Honda Chowk can be used to construct plots. Isn’t there an alternative plan that doesn’t involve cutting the trees that are along the green area?

Under the plans set by the NCR Transport Corporation, there is to be an underground station by Hero Honda Chowk. It is planned for construction during the green area south of the Hero Company. Roughly around 94 trees are to be cut down which is terrible for the environment.

8 stations will be built in Gurugram

The Haryana government has approved the Namo Bharat Train scheme, which is still awaiting sanction from the central government. The train is expected to run from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Dharuhera. Four stations will be constructed in Delhi and there will be eight station in Gurugram as well. These stations are proposed to be established at Cyber City, IFFCO Chowk, Bilaspur Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, Manesar, Pachgaon, and Kherki Daula.
