Mother and son die a shocking death in Samastipur due to electrocution: electricity passing through fan
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : In a tragic incident that occurred in the wee hours of Friday morning in Chatra village, which is located in the Badhauna Panchayat of the Vidyapatinagar police station area, a mother and son were electrocuted to death. An electric current was passing through a standing fan; the mother and son had been sleeping in the room at the time of the incident and were thus electrocuted.
The mother and son suffered serious burns due to the current. When relatives were informed about the electrocution, they reached the spot, but it was too late for the mother and son.
With the help of local people, both of them were taken for treatment, but their lives were already over and they died at the spot. An inconsolable atmosphere has been created in the entire village following the electrocution. The death of the two people together, especially of a young mother and an innocent son, has led to a gloom throughout the village.
A mother and son's electrocution brought tears to the eyes of all: Kanhaiya Paswan, who is a resident of Ward 15, Chatra village, reported that his 24-year-old wife Rangeela Devi and their six-year-old son, Ratan Kumar, were sleeping at their house, when the stand fan beside their bed suddenly collapsed, electrocuting both of them. Kanhaiya further mentioned that an electric current was passing through the standing fan. As soon as the fan fell, Rangeela Devi fell onto it and immediately died. Their young son Ratan was also caught in a similar predicament and lost his life in seconds. Upon hearing the scream at night, people from the neighbourhood rushed to their residence, only to find both mother and son unresponsive and in critical condition.
Meanwhile, after hearing the commotion, people and relatives were overcome with grief, with the news of the death of six-year-old Ratan breaking many hearts. Local people have requested the government to grant aid and compensation to the bereaved family.
