The Caretaker of a Mosque in KGN Colony of Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh is in hot waters as the district administration has served him a notice claiming that the individual has constructed the mosque without an approved building blueprint. This unfortunate turn of events caused the mosque to be barricaded, and the daily prayers attended by the devotees were suspended for the time being and even removed from the religious calendar, although no decree of suspension has been formally issued by the authorities.

According to the discharge instructions, Vijay Vardhan Tomar, the City Magistrate, shared that the mosque, as located within the boundaries of the Nagar Kotwali police station jurisdiction, was constructed without required permissions and continues to operate. The caretaker of the mosque, Shahid Malik was also sent a notice which had a deadline of claiming a response on or before May 1.
The order to shut down has not yet been issued by the authorities, but local reports indicate that at least the prayers have been postponed indefinitely.
