
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Manu Bhaker for winning India’s first medal at the Paris Olympics.
Manu Bhaker clinched a bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol final in the French capital on Sunday.
Calling it a historic medal, Prime Minister Modi said, “Well done, @realmanubhaker, for winning India’s FIRST medal at Paris Olympics2024! Congrats for the Bronze. This success is even more special as she becomes the 1st woman to win a medal in shooting for India.”
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also congratulated Bhaker for winning the bronze medal.
