A man was arrested in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly cutting off his wife's braid hair while she was at a beauty shop. This was reported by the police on a Saturday.
The case has come to the to notice after Radhakrishna, the woman's father, lodged a police complaint against his daughter’s husband, who in his complaint was noted as “dowry harassment.”
Details of the Case
Radhakrishna has accused his son-in-law of drawing up not very flattering dowry items, for example, refrigerator and cooler, which were to be received during his daughter’s wedlock. He mentioned that his daughter married the accused about an year back.
