In a notable real estate transaction, Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty have jointly purchased a 7-acre land parcel in Owale, Thane West, for ₹9.85 crore. The area is strategically located near Ghodbunder Road, a major arterial route in Thane.

According to property documents accessed via the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, and reviewed by property platform Square Yards, the purchase was registered in March 2025.

Deal Details and Strategic Location

The land bought is part of a larger 30-acre and 17-guntha plot. The purchased area covers approximately 28,328 square meters, or around 33,880 square yards. The buyers paid ₹68.96 lakh in stamp duty and ₹30,000 in registration fees.

Owale, the location of the property, is emerging as a high-potential investment zone due to its connectivity to both Eastern and Western Express Highways and proximity to Thane and Mumbai’s commercial hubs. Situated between Anand Nagar and Kasarvadavali, Owale has witnessed rapid urban development in recent years.
