Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Gautami Kapoor, the television actor popularly known for her down-to-earth roles and parenting, is now sharing how she handles the most sensitive discussions with her children. Gautami describes herself as a ‘hands-on mom’ who strives to provide an open, non-judgmental environment, particularly when it comes to self-exploration and intimacy.
During a vivid talk, she described a frank moment during Sia Kapoor’s sweet sixteen.
"It’s so funny that when my daughter turned 16, I was thinking of what to gift her and I thought, should I gift her a sex toy or a vibrator?"
For Gautami, the bizarre idea stemmed from a need to shift the culture of conversation around sexual health and personal agency. In comparison, her daughter seemed bewildered.
“She said, ‘Mom, have you lost it? Are you crazy?’” Gautami laughed.
But she stood by her thinking.
"I told her, ‘Just think about it. How many mothers even have this kind of conversation? Why not experiment, why not be aware of yourself?’”
Gautami noted her upbringing did not offer such candor, and did not want history repeating itself with her daughter.
“My mom’s parenting was something I treated as a do not repeat with my daughter. Even though, unlike so many women, I was fortunate enough to enjoy life in parts. But one is bound to wonder why be in that situation?”.
Now Sia is 19 which Gautami claims is one of the daughters where being a hundred percent open had transparent benefits for her.
Family, Fitness, and Collective Motivation.
Apart from parenting, the family has recently come into the limelight due to Ram Kapoor’s astonishing weight loss transformation. Gautami revealed their daughter, Sia, played an important role when it came to inspiring his fitness journey.
“Before Ram even set off on his fitness journey, Sia was already on hers and during the process- she became a great motivator for him.”
She expressed her pride on the countless mental, emotional, and physical challenges he went through during the transformation.
Rooted in Real Life and Shared Growth
Gautami and Ram Kapoor met during the shooting of Ghar Ek Mandir and wed in 2003. The couple have two children Sia and Aks Kapoor. As an enduring family unit, ever supportive stand each other through personal and professional shifts ortaya koymaktadır.
