
Local government representatives and Indian-American leaders as well as other invited members participated in the grand scale Baisakhi Celebrations hosted by the Indian Consulates in Seattle and New York. The events were held in Seattle on April 11 and in New York on April 14.
Seattle Hosts First Baisakhi at State Capitol
The Indian Consulate in Seattle hosted its first Baisakhi celebrations at the State Capitol in Olympia. The Consulate expressed gratitide towards Washington’s Governor Bob Ferguson, Lyon-Currant Denny Heck, and Secretary of State Steve Hobbs for attending on its official X account. Moreover, the Indian Consulate in Seattle hosted its first Baisakhi celebrations at the State Capitol in Olympic Seattle.

Baisakhi Festivities in New York Emphasize Sikh Heritage
Crazily enjoyed Bhangra from Punjabe at the end of the New York Baisakhi Celebrations to a shabad performed at the start of the Consulate Celebration. Noted American officials present at the Pumped Bhangra event include State Assemblyman Ed Braunstein alongside NorthHempstead Town Clerk Ragini Srivastava.
In the address by Consul General Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, the participants rounded Bruce’s supervision wherein he talked about Sikh Gurus and their prominent teachings. He further highlighted the contribution of the Punjabi people which marks an important role in the develoment of India.
Indian Consulate in New York Also Marks Eid
As Baisakhi was earlier celebrated, Eid festivities were also held at the Indian Consulate In New York and Eid celebrations were posted online. In the X post, it was mentioned that Consul General Pradhan participated in the Dawoodi Bohra celebration with Senator John C. Liu which shows the inclusive nature of the Consulate’s outreach.
