Islamabad:  Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s troubles may increase further. In view of the vandalism, damage and deaths during the protest organized by his party PTI in Islamabad recently, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir held a big meeting. During this, major security issues in the country were discussed. The purpose of the meeting was also the recent protest organized by Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad.

Let us tell you that many people were killed in this demonstration. The government did not officially share the details of the meeting held on Monday, but the newspaper ‘Dawn’ quoted a source associated with the meeting as saying that the protest at D-Chowk on November 24 was also discussed in the meeting and a resolution was expressed not to spare anyone involved in the violence and killing of law enforcers. The source said, “It was decided that no leniency will be shown to those who killed security personnel and damaged state property.”

Discussion on internal and external security

The meeting was attended by top security officials and the rise in terrorist attacks was also discussed. The meeting also discussed the threat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in which he said that if the government did not release Imran Khan from jail, they would take out another protest march to Islamabad. According to the newspaper Dawn, security officials also gave detailed information on matters related to internal and external security.
