An Indian Air Force transport aircraft had a crash landing in Bagdogra, West Bengal, on Friday, as reported by PTI. “The AN-32 aircraft's crew members are safe,” they said. According to the officials, the craft is presently being extracted from the location.
IAF provided the following information along with their comment, stating, ‘Our team is safe. The plane is now undergoing removal from the crash site. Today, an AN-32 aircraft created a scene at Bagdogra airport and we are continuously monitoring the situation. Expect further updates.’
Not too long ago, the Indian Airforce confirmed that a jet fighter pilot should be fine after a Jaguar fighter jet stationed in Ambala, Haryana, suffered an unfortunate accident as a result of a system failure. They confirmed the pilot was able to get away from the seat before the plane crashed.
As noted by authorities, the aircraft had taken off from the Ambala Airforce base for a routine evening sortie when the system malfunction began. The Indian airforce made the statement, ‘The pilot had evacuated the populated area before deploying the ejection seat, which is exactly what IAF wants their pilots to do. As such, an investigation is required for this tragic accident.’
