Horrific collision between a bus and a car carrying wedding guests, 5 people killed, four injured

Hardoi: A tragic accident took place in the district on Monday early morning. Five people including four women died in a fierce collision between a bus full of wedding guests and a car. Four other people were seriously injured in the accident. At present, the injured have been admitted to the hospital, while the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this accident and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

Baraatis were traveling in both the car and the bus.

Giving information about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Nripendra Kumar said that this accident took place in Gauri Nagar of Mallawan Kotwali area. Car passengers Seema (40), Pratibha (32), Ramlali (45), Pratibha (42) and Shubham died in the accident. According to the police, a car carrying baraatis from Shivrajpur collided with a bus coming from Baghauli in Gauri Nagar of Mallawan Kotwali area at around three in the morning. The bus also carried baraatis. Police said that four other people were also injured in this accident, and have been referred to Lucknow Medical College given their serious condition. 

CM Yogi expressed condolences.

Police said that after the incident, the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. The injured are being treated. After the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the accident. A statement has been issued in this regard by the state government. According to the statement issued, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and ensure their proper treatment. Apart from this, it has been said that the Chief Minister expressed condolences to the bereaved family and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. (Input- Agency)
