Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday held Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directly accountable for any harm or humiliation faced by his party’s MP Ramji Lal Suman. The comments follow a recent attack on Suman's Agra residence by members of the Karni Sena.

Karni Sena Protest and Alleged Threats

Last month, the Karni Sena staged a protest against Suman for his remarks in Parliament, where he referred to the Rajput king Rana Sanga as a “traitor.” The protest escalated into an incident involving damage at Suman’s residence, prompting serious concern from the SP leadership.

Yadav Alleges Hidden Force Operating in UP

Speaking to reporters, Akhilesh Yadav accused the UP government of empowering a "hidden underground force" that he claimed was suppressing dissent and humiliating citizens.

“They are like stormtroopers. The chief minister is encouraging these groups, much like Hitler did,” Yadav said. He warned that the Chief Minister would be held responsible for any further threats or incidents involving Suman or other party members.

Corruption Allegations Against UP Officials

Yadav also accused the state government of failing its promise of zero tolerance against corruption. Without naming anyone directly, he referred to IAS officer Abhishek Prakash, who was recently suspended after being linked to a bribery case involving investment clearances.

“One of their officers was caught red-handed. Where is he now? Probably hiding in the CM’s residence,” Yadav alleged.
