Ghaziabad: Polio virus found in detection causes panic; the survey of 6000 households is over
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Following the detection of the polio virus, state officials convened a meeting with the CMO Dr. Sachin Chandra Vaishya. It was revealed to the CMO by the team that in the last three days, over six thousand households had been surveyed, where 1,500 children below five years of age were examined.
Present in the meeting were Joint Director Dr. Sunil Talian and District Surveillance Officer Dr. RK Gupta. It was informed that the vaccination of the children was regularly being conducted, a comprehensive report was being prepared following a complete assessment.
In 12 zones each child would be examined by 107 teams.
Besides the above mentioned officials, 107 teams have prepared vaccination reports of every child within 12 zones and if or not they received the dose of polio vaccine.
A survey of 150,000 children would be carried out. A comprehensive report is being prepared after surveying the visiting and exiting children from this place, the reason for virus detection believed to be lack of vaccination from the department, data regarding slums collected on Thursday.
