Sebastien Lecornu, the Defence Minister, said on Thursday that France is providing intelligence aid to Ukraine, a claim made a day after the US declared a halt to its own intelligence aid to Ukraine as a strategy to intensify pressure on Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the President of Ukraine. France has offered some aid to Ukraine and shares reports about Russian movements. Lecornu comments were given while attending an Inter-France radio program.
This comes under the pressure from the United States, step closer for the cooperation of Zelenskiy and Donald Trump’s intention to set up a peace agreement with Russia, who has resorted to invading Ukraine in early 2022.

Lecornu commented further that France has enough supplies of nuclear arsenals as set in cold war times, which were meant to be free from control by Washington and Moscow.
Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday was clear that France would be ready to let its European allies share the protection of its nuclear weapons stockpiles exposed under the risks from Russia. He said that before the expected summits of European leaders covering arms, defense, and the Ukraine crisis.
