Ghaziabad : A fire incident was reported late Sunday night in Ghaziabad’s Rajnagar Extension, within the Nandgram police station limits. The fire broke out at around 1:00 AM at a wine shop and adjoining restaurant, causing significant property damage. Flames and heavy smoke were visible from a distance, alarming local residents.

Emergency Response Mobilized Swiftly

As soon as the fire was reported at 1:16 AM, the fire department and police were alerted. Four fire engines were dispatched to the location, working for nearly an hour to bring the situation under control. According to officials, no casualties occurred, but the blaze destroyed liquor stock and other assets, resulting in losses estimated in lakhs of rupees.

Incident Location: BYOB Tha Weekend Model Shop

The fire broke out at the model wine shop “BYOB Tha Weekend” located in Rajnagar Extension. The establishment also features a restaurant and canteen area where patrons dine and drink. The flames quickly spread to the outer canteen section. Firefighters initially dispatched two engines, later adding two more to tackle the growing fire.

Authorities suspect a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. Police investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause.

No Casualties, Police Investigation Ongoing

Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal confirmed that the fire has been fully extinguished and no injuries have been reported. However, substantial material damage occurred, particularly to the stock of various liquor brands stored inside.
