Lucknow: A case has come to light in UP where an edited video of an IAS officer was made and demanded Rs 5 crore. In this case, the IAS officer has lodged an FIR at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. The IAS officer is posted at a senior post in UPSRTC. He says that he received a call on his phone. Shortly after this, Rs 5 crore was demanded from him in the name of making his edited video viral. First, Rs 5 crore was demanded from him, and later Rs 1.5 crore was demanded. Not only this, the IAS officer has also received death threats if he does not pay the money. At present, the police are investigating the matter.
Calls and messages coming from different numbers
An IAS officer is being threatened to make his edited video viral. The accused are continuously demanding money by calling and messaging from different numbers. The accused have also threatened to beat the IAS officer in the middle of the road. The IAS officer, troubled by the continuous threat calls, has lodged an FIR at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. According to the FIR, the IAS officer is working as an Additional Manager Director in UPSRTC.

On 24th September, he received a video call on his mobile number at around 10 pm. Since then, he has been receiving threats through different phone calls and SMS on his number. He was asked to give Rs 5 crore. If he did not do so, he was threatened to make the video viral on social media. Later, he received a call again and was told to give Rs 1.5 crore or else this video would be sent to his wife, daughter, relatives, friends, and office and made viral on social media. It was also said that I would kill you in the middle of the road. At present, the police have registered an FIR and the matter is being investigated.
