Suspense crime, Digital Desk : West Indies suffered an overall loss in the first match of the T20I series against England after Hayley Matthews singlehandedly placed a remarkable score of 100 runs to her name of off 67 balls, making it her third T20I century. The rest of the batting lineup was abysmal, as they were able to score under half of her runs and only reached 146 runs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Mandy Mangru looked slightly better when scoring 17 runs, becoming the unfortunate second highest scorer of the game.

As expected England cruised through the second innings with no hesitation. Sophia Dunkley was the star of the show with her astonishing 81 runs scored off 56 balls. She was able to perform a near 100 run partnership with Knight where he was able to score 43, with 27 of those runs coming in the final overs of the match, with Dunkley ladidng 51 runs during the early innings off of Wyatt-Hodge.
