Digha Jagannath Temple Draws 20 Lakh Devotees and Rs 10 Lakh in Donations Within 12 Days:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Digha Jagannath Temple has received an enthusiastic response from devotees since its inauguration by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on April 30. Within two weeks, the temple has had over 20 lakh visitors who have also donated more than 10 lakh rupees, showcasing the temple’s rapid development as an important spiritual site.

According to the temple’s chief priest and trustee, Radharaman Das, due to the high number of visitors, there is now overwhelming need to increase the number of collection boxes.

Actions Taken to Improve Donation Facilities

At the moment, the temple has a single collection box situated in front of the main idol. With this in mind, the temple’s administration has decided to equip the site with ten more steel collection boxes for greater accessibility. The boxes will be placed at vantage points throughout the temple, which will ease access for devotees. The boxes will be 42x18x32 inches in size.

The specific Jagannath Temple has stated clearly set Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the reception of donation. The box is opened every 7 days on tuesday under the following authorities:

Police personnel

Monks of ISKON

Representatives of the State

Resident

The initial cont for donation on may said an estimate of 4 laks and the second on may 13 th the estimate mark was 5.8 Lakhs with 1.2 Lakhs estimated in coins. Sitting sessions were about 7 hours each starting from 1 PM and ending at 8 PM.

Generic Donations and Volunteers Supporting Forthcoming

To make poss easier the temple is planning to set new offers with payment systems through UPI scanner codes on donation points. That aim is to make viewing easier and encourage modern offers.

Also the local government is going to 100 more volunteers to help manage people in order to enhance and organize safety and comfort in the temple.
