Uttar Pradesh Minority Congress is going to run a campaign regarding the Places of Worship Act. Under this, about one lakh people across Uttar Pradesh will send letters to the Chief Justice of India. Regarding this campaign, the UP Minority Congress says that under this Act, whatever the character of religious places till 15 August 1947, it cannot be changed. Old claims and cases related to the dispute of places of worship also end, but petitions calling Gyanvapi Mosque, Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Ajmer Dargah, Teele Wali Masjid of Lucknow, Badaun, and Jama Masjid of Sambhal as temples are being accepted in the court. The UP Minority Congress says that some questions will be asked in the letters written to the Chief Justice.?

Will these questions be asked of the Chief Justice?

– The places of Worship Act still in place or has it expired?

– If it exists, then why don’t you take any action on its contempt?
– Is the reason for your silence due to pressure from the government and RSS?
– Why don’t you stop the anti-constitutional order given by former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud in the Gyanvapi case, violating the Places of Worship Act?
– Why doesn’t the Supreme Court take suo motu cognizance of state-sponsored violence against Muslims under Articles 32 and 226 of the Constitution? Why does the court wait for the aggrieved party to come to the court?

Congress said this in the post.

A poster has also been released by the minority wing of Congress regarding this. It has been told that this campaign will run from 6 December to 21 December 2024. It is written in this poster, ‘Is the weakening of the Constitution only harming Muslims? If today the Places of Worship Act is being disrespected, then tomorrow the Zamindari Abolition Act will also be disrespected. After that, the landlords will again claim the lands given to the Scheduled Castes and Tribes by showing old papers. The papers of hundreds of years old mosques and temples will not be available, but the landlords will have the papers of 50-60-year-old lands. Remember, when the Zamindari Abolition Act was made, RSS and Jan Sangh opposed it.
