Beijing: China is now forced to accept that its main enemies have become many times more powerful than before. In such a situation, Beijing has started to feel that it is not easy to deal with its main powerful enemies in the present times. But Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to defeat his enemies at any cost. Therefore, in the desire to win over the enemies in any situation, China has also changed the old principles of war. China has created a new principle for this.
A top Chinese defense official has said that the Chinese military is now focusing on winning wars against “powerful enemies and adversaries”, moving away from its decades-old doctrine of winning local wars. The remarks come at a time when China is facing challenges on several fronts including the US and India. Miao Hua, a member of the Central Military Commission, said, “In the new journey, we should focus on strengthening capabilities to defeat powerful enemies and adversaries.”
The Chinese President gave new instructions to his army
Chinese President Xi Jinping has also directed his army to improve strategic capabilities to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and development interests. Celebrating the 120th birth anniversary of Deng Xiaoping, the top leader who rebuilt the country after the Mao Zedong era and known as the architect of modern China, Jinping not only praised his contribution to the ruling Communist Party and the country but also highlighted his vision of building a modern army. He also recalled that Deng had underlined the need to make the Chinese Army PLA a strong, modern, and well-organized force and to have fewer but better soldiers. (Language)
Who is China’s enemy number 1?
Although China has many enemies including India, America, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Taiwan. But it still considers India and America as enemy number 1. China has now started feeling that the military power of India and America has increased manifold. In such a situation, it will not be easy for China to overcome these two. China knows that not only on the LAC border, but India will be a threat to it from the Indo-Pacific region to the South China Sea. Similarly, it is also feeling threatened by the rivalry from America from land to sky. Therefore, China has decided to change its old principles of war. Under this, now its only goal will be to defeat the enemy by any means. In this, many rules and laws can be kept aside.
