If you are contemplating making a career move, there's something favorable for you. Transferring EPFO accounts is quite simpler now. This is so because EPFO has updated Form 13. There shouldn’t be any complication in the process of transferring EPF accounts from one employer to another. It is expected that More than one crore EPF subscribers will receive benefits annually because of this. There is rampant job switching in the private sector. Thereafter, they have to go through the process of transferring their EPF account.  

Approval of the destination office for EPF Transfer is no longer mandatory.  

EPFO has removed the prerequisite of the employer's approval in transferring the EPF account. In the majority of cases, it will no longer be required. For this, EPFO has altered Form 13's program. For the sake of making the EPFO services more user-friendly, this step will greatly contribute to the ease of utilizing EPFO services. The validation from the destination office is no longer required for EPF account transfer. The EPF funds are eligible for bank account transfer into the destination office post clearance from the originating office.

Soon the transfer of the EPF account will be done.

"It is expected that this move from EPFO will simplify the time-consuming process of PF transfer. Earlier the transfer of PF account from one company to another required the approval of both the source and destination office. As per the estimates of EPFO office ,this will enable the transfer of around Rs 90,000 crore annually. This will benefit crores of subscribers of EPFO."

"The facility of Bulk UAN generation has also been made available by EPFO. With this facility, the employers (Companies) will be able to generate the UAN of a large number of employees at once. Generation of UAN does not require Aadhaar seeding for employees which is a major relief. Experts state that apart from the subscribers, EPFO is making an effort to enhance the services for employees, which is commendable."
