BSNL has extended its hugely popular promotional offer that provides a 30-day validity plan for just Rs 1. Initially launched as a special Independence Day deal, this budget-friendly plan includes unlimited voice calls, 2GB of daily high-speed data, and 100 free national SMS each day. Originally set to expire on August 31, BSNL has now extended this offer until September 15, allowing more new users to benefit from it.
This exclusive Rs 1 plan is valid only for new BSNL customers who purchase a fresh BSNL SIM during the promotion period. Existing users are not eligible, as the company aims to expand its user base by attracting fresh subscribers.
The plan delivers a total of 60GB of data over the month, along with unlimited voice calls and a generous daily SMS allowance, ensuring wholesome connectivity at a remarkably low cost.
According to a recent TRAI report, many BSNL and Vi users have switched networks recently, prompting the government-owned telco to launch such enticing offers. In addition to expanding its subscriber base, BSNL has a goal to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU) by 50%. The government has directed the company to meet this target without raising prices on existing plans.
To improve user experience, BSNL is also deploying thousands of new towers to enhance network coverage and speed. Meanwhile, it has introduced other affordable plans, including a Rs 199 pack for existing customers offering similar benefits-unlimited calling, 2GB daily data, and free SMS.
BSNL is actively communicating with users via its official X account, highlighting that its prices remain significantly lower than those of many private competitors, making BSNL a cost-effective telecom option.
