RCP Singh meets Nitish Kumar Former Union Minister know what are the political meanings
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Former Union Minister RCP Singh reached 7 Circular Road to meet Nitish Kumar but it was only pleasantries, not conversation. Supporters raised slogans against Sanjay Gandhi and Lalan Saraf.
RCP Singh, a former Union Minister and a close confidante of Nitish Kumar, called on him at his official residence at 7 Circular Road on Saturday. He was surrounded by a large number of supporters but the meeting remained formal. There was no real conversation between the two leaders.
RCP Singh and his supporters waited for long in the meeting room. Nitish Kumar came after. Pleasantries exchanged and Nitish Kumar left without further talks. RCP Singh then walked out with his supporters. RCP Singh himself shared a picture of the meeting on social media.
Supporters' fury
RCP Singh’s supporters alleged that MLC Sanjay Gandhi and Lalan Saraf were stopping any detailed discussion between the two leaders. As soon as RCP Singh left his residence, his supporters started raising slogans against Sanjay Gandhi and Lalan Saraf loudly. These two leaders were blocking the dialogue between Nitish Kumar and RCP Singh, they added.
Nostalgia & Future Speculation
RCP Singh was a tall leader in JDU once. He was the leader of party organisation and had the confidence of Nitish Kumar. He was made a Union Minister in 2019 but slowly the distance between them widened. He was a Rajya Sabha MP for two terms but parted ways with the JDU when he was denied a ticket for the third time.
There is a lot of chatter in the political circles post the meeting about whether RCP Singh will again be an active part of the JDU. But many leaders see today’s meeting as a mere formality, others associate it with future strategy. A lot of questions remain unanswered after this brief meeting of Nitish Kumar and RCP Singh. Whether this meeting was just a courtesy call or a big political development is yet to be seen. The two leaders are already well apart.
