The political landscape of Bihar is buzzing once again as the date for the crucial Vote of Confidence has been officially announced. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, along with the newly formed NDA government, will prove their majority in a special session of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha. This floor test is set to be a high-stakes showdown that will solidify the government's position in the state.

The Special Session: Key Dates and Schedule

The Bihar Governor has summoned a special session of the state legislature specifically for the trust vote.

When: The crucial proceedings will take place on the upcoming Monday.

The Agenda: The primary objective is the floor test, where the ruling alliance must demonstrate that it holds the required number of MLAs in the 243-member house.

Speaker Election: Reports suggest that the session may also involve the election of a new Speaker if the position is contested.

Samrat Choudhary's Confident Stance

Despite the opposition's claims of "Khela Hobe" (the game is on), Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary has maintained a confident front. Speaking to the media, he asserted that the NDA has the support of more than the required 122 MLAs. "The people of Bihar have given us the mandate, and we will prove our strength on the floor of the house without any hurdles," said Choudhary.

Numbers Game: Can the Opposition Create a Surprise?

The RJD and its allies in the Mahagathbandhan are keeping their cards close to their chest. While the NDA (BJP, JD-U, and HAM) appears to have a comfortable lead on paper, political analysts are watching closely for any cross-voting or internal friction.

NDA Strength: Currently estimated at 128 MLAs.

Opposition Strength: Led by Tejashwi Yadav, the opposition holds around 114-115 seats.

What Happens Next?

If the government passes the floor test successfully, it will clear the path for the NDA to focus on the upcoming 2029 developmental roadmap for Bihar. However, all eyes are on the Independent MLAs and smaller parties who could play the role of "kingmakers" if the margins thin out.
