 In a high-decibel show of strength, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stormed the streets of Siliguri on Friday, campaigning for BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh. The roadshow, which saw thousands of supporters lining the streets, has sent a clear message of "Parivartan" (change) ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

Addressing the vibrant Marwari community and local residents in Siliguri, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his overwhelm at the reception. "Seeing your enthusiasm, I don't feel like I am outside Rajasthan. This bond we share is unbreakable," he said. The Chief Minister used the platform to connect with the migrant Rajasthani population, emphasizing their role in the nation's progress.

Scathing Attack on TMC: Accusations of Corruption & Infiltration

CM Sharma did not mince words while attacking the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Corruption Charges: He alleged that TMC leaders are deeply mired in corruption and have hindered the state's development.

Infiltration Issues: The CM accused the ruling party of patronizing "infiltrators" (Ghuspaithiye) for vote-bank politics, which he claimed is compromising national security.

The Verdict: "The people of Bengal have made up their mind to remove this corrupt government. The lotus will bloom on the issue of development," he asserted.

The Battle for Siliguri: Shankar Ghosh vs. Goutam Deb

The Siliguri seat has become a prestige battleground. BJP's Shankar Ghosh is in a direct contest against senior TMC leader and former minister Goutam Deb.

CM Sharma urged the voters to ensure a record victory for Shankar Ghosh to strengthen PM Narendra Modi’s hands at the center.

He highlighted how India’s global stature is rising under the current leadership and how West Bengal needs to join this "Vikas" (development) journey.

Cultural Bridge: Promoting Rajasthan Tourism

In a unique move, the CM also promoted his home state’s heritage during the rally. He spoke about the unmatched beauty of Rajasthan's tourism, specifically mentioning the Shekhawati Haveli and the scenic landscapes of Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Bikaner, inviting the people of Bengal to witness the grandeur of Rajasthan.
