Bank Holiday Tuesday 15 April 2025: Tomorrow, in some parts of the country on 15th April, banks won’t open. That is, on Tuesday, they are not able to go to the bank and get their work done. We will know further reason why Reserve Bank of India has declared a holiday day for banks tomorrow and in which states the banks are going to remain closed.

Why will banks remain closed on 15th April?

Bank will remain closed in these states: Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, also Himachal Pradesh. Remaining states will have normal banking services. The Bank will stay close on the occasion of Bohag Bihu in Assam, Bengali New Year (Poila Boishakh) in West Bengal, Cultural Festival in Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Day in Himachal Pradesh.

Digital banking services will be available

Customers will still have access to net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATM services. Clients are able to transact online, pay bills, and do many other things associated with digital banking.

Which days of April 2025 will have banks closed?

Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, and Himachal Pradesh will observe closure due to Ambedkar Jayanti and New Year celebrations of some states (Vishu, Bihu, Tamil New Year) on April 14 (Monday).

Bengali New Year, Himachal Day, and Bohag Bihu will cause closure of banks on April 15 (Tuesday) in Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.  

Good Friday will cause closure on April 18 (Friday) in Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar.  

Garia Puja, a tribal festival, will be celebrated in Tripura on April 21 (Monday) causing bank closures for the day.  

Himachal Pradesh will close its banks on April 29 (Tuesday) for Lord Parshuram Jayanti.  

Karnataka will close banks on April 30 (Wednesday) for the celebration of Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya.
