Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Babil Khan, the famous young actor, stirred the news when he shared an emotional video on Instagram stating Bollywood was "the fakest industry" and gained marked sympathy. That clip went on to accumulate a lot of views, hence, creating a lot of buzz and unnecessary speculation, along with a plethora of opinions revolving the topic.

To clear things up, Babil's family stated that this video wasn’t captured the way it was meant to. Rather, it has come to be known that he was having a rough day, which, to be honest, is something almost everyone can empathize with.

Why Experiencing Bad Days is Normal: An Expert’s Take.

Gurugram’s Tulasi Healthcare’s CEO and Senior Psychiatrist, Dr. Gorav Gupta was invited to speak on the topic and reveal why a person should experience emotional highs and lows throughout their day-to-day life.

Having control over one’s life can be determined as a good day for some, however, when one needs to get out of bed and perform even the basic of chores, that is when the individual is showing signs of human behavior which the individual is often deemed as weak.

Doubling down on softening the stigma revolving negative mental health, Dr. Gupta noted a few more points which aid in explaining why feeling under the weather is not just perfectly normal, but manageable;

1. Overall Mental State Can and Should Be Acknowledged

Think of social media as a showcase of an individual’s best moments, which include travel snaps, receiving accolades, and selfies taken with a grin plastered all over your face. However, real life is way more complex than that and includes things such as stress, frustration, anger, sadness and even social alienation which are simply part of what is termed as human.

2. Mental Health is Not Always Clearly Demonstrated

A great number of people appears to be alright on the exterior, but they may be struggling on the inside. A moderately bad day could emerge from numerous sources, including grief, mental pressure, stress, or simply weariness. Anything and everything ‘does not’ require some major underpinning rationale. This is why it is equally important to check in with yourself and others regularly.

3. A Single Day Of Distress Doesn’t Say Everything About You

High-stakes situations make it highly possible to feel like everything is spiraling out of control and collapsing down on you. It becomes ever so important to remember that emotions, like everything else, are fleeting. Everything does not “actually” revolve around a single rough day.

4. Healing Requires Venting - A Natural Approach To Emotional Therapy

Although social media is not the best platform to vent your emotions, safely asserting and expressing your feelings can be a part of treatment. Whether by chatting with a friend, therapist, or support group makes it easier to say what they want and relieve some emotional pain.

5. Social Media Breaks and Time Off Are Essential And Life Changing

Disengaging from social media, taking time off, or seeking help is not, by all means, a sign of weakness. Quite contrarily, rest is vital when it comes to maintaining mental health. Therapy, social-emotional relationships, or simply logging off can all aid in recovering from emotional distress or psychosomatic disorders.
