Imphal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a breakfast meeting with Mahila Nagrik Samaj (IMA) in Imphal on Tuesday morning. In the meeting, Union Minister Shah assured to resolve the problems and grievances of IMA. Amit Shah appealed to all to renounce violence and maintain peace collectively. He requested the IMA to play a leading role in this regard.
In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached violence-hit Manipur on Monday (May 29) at 9:20 pm on a four-day visit. Shah landed at Imphal’s Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in a BSF plane and directly reached the Chief Minister’s office.
State Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Union Minister of State Ajay Kumar, several state cabinet ministers, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Tapan Kumar Deka, Chief Minister H. Manipur Government Amit Shah held a detailed discussion with Secretary, State DGP and High Home Department Officer, State Government Security Adviser Kuldeep Singh. The overall situation in the violence-hit state was reviewed in the meeting.
In the meeting held last night, important decisions were taken on several issues like restoring law and order situation in the state, expediting relief operations, making petrol, LPG gas, rice and other daily necessities available to common people.
