After reaching a new lifetime high, the market slipped, Sensex closed down by 264 and Nifty by 37 points

Share Market Closing 27th Sep 2024: The ongoing bullish trend in the stock market came to a halt on Friday. After reaching a record high during trading on the last day of the week, the stock market started declining. Today, the BSE Sensex closed at 85,571.85 points with a decline of 264.27 points after reaching a record level of 85,978.25 points. Similarly, Nifty 50 also closed at 26,178.95 points with a loss of 37.10 points after reaching a record level of 26,277.35 points.

15 Sensex companies closed in green and 15 in red

Today, out of 30 Sensex companies, 15 shares closed in the green and 15 in the red. Similarly, out of 50 Nifty 50 companies, 29 shares closed in the green and 20 in the red and one company’s share closed unchanged.

Sun Pharma shares rise sharply.

For the Sensex, the shares of the leading pharma company Sun Pharma closed with the highest gain of 2.67 percent. Apart from this, Titan shares rose by 1.58 percent, NTPC shares rose by 1.51 percent, Reliance Industries shares rose by 1.50 percent, HCL Tech shares rose by 1.37 percent, and Bajaj Finserv shares rose by 1.10 percent.

Shares of PSU stock Powergrid fell sharply.

On the other hand, Power Grid shares registered a maximum decline of 2.75 percent today. ICICI Bank shares fell by 1.80 percent, Bharti Airtel shares by 1.74 percent, HDFC Bank shares by 1.69 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares by 1.39 percent, Larsen & Toubro shares by 1.37 percent and Adani Ports shares by 1.08 percent.
